Training to build as a SOT Practitioner

Handouts and explanations.
Seeing fellow colleagues.

The last day things went too quickly over occipital lines, and only the 2 days to adjust.
Too many participants and not enough lecturers

The 1st day also was a lot of stuff I had covered in the previous course with an introduction course.

I will be asking feedback on the level 2 -3 on this as I will be trying to practice on the paying public on the occipital lines also dollar and crest signs.
I asked other chiropractors and they felt the same.

Not being able to film was annoying for future reference to re-evaluate and practice.

I have not used it in practice yet as I have not purchased blocks and did not want to use SOT until I have level 2 -3 also in case not Level 1.

I’m not being picky or choosy but more hands on with the practicals.
I felt the numbers were too high of participants and not enough beds.

At one point in the day we had to work on the floor with no chiro bed.
The room where the seminar was could hear wind blowing doors open in the hotel which was annoying. Off putting trying to listen and process information.

Fantastic seminar! I was very inspired! I am from Birmingham and I don’t have a car so Langley is difficult to get to via public transportation.

I liked the introduction and the contents of the seminar.

Learning the 6 step analysis took longer than I thought it would. I was hoping that we would used more time on CAT 1 instead of the analysis.

Slightly less time on 6 step analysis and slightly more time on the actual CAT 1.

I liked the balance of presentation and practical elements and that the presentation elements were interspersed between time allocated for practicing techniques.

I would have liked a little more time allocated to the content covered in the second day of training.

Slightly less time dedicated to posture analysis and more time dedicated to the content on the second day.

The course was well taught, and the lecturers approachable.
I appreciated the time keeping of the event and the understanding of the uneasiness that may arise when performing techniques on bodies who might not need the procedure.

I enjoyed the anatomy review and the cranial movements. I appreciated also the dissection video shown putting into easier context the whole technique model.

The brief touch on current research about light receptors in the ventricle system, I wish there was more.

Performing and presenting newly done research instead of relying of 50years old studies and assumptions.
Provide head boards during practicals. This will improve the experience and enhance the possibility students may purchase some after the course.

I am very please with the seminar. It was very interactive and it really opended my eyes to the posibilities that SOT holds in the worls of chiropractic. Everyone was quite encouraging and very patient in explaining the different techniques.

Some things that I found lacking was the low number of supporting trainers, it would have been nice for there to be one or 2 more practitioners so that we can refer of what we are experiencing in our techniques and then cross referencing it with them.

In addition some of the instructors had a diferent way of doing things and some of the lecturers gave mixed information on how to do a technique which was quite confusing. Which made me feel that all lecturers and table instructers need to be on the same page when educating the new up and coming SOT practitioners.

I also which practitioners to make further effort to encourage participant to swap partners in order to have better feel of that is going on with the techniques.

Make the seminar longer

Encourage people more to swap partners.
