Introduction to Category 1
Modules 1 and 2 are the foundation modules of SOT. Category 1 procedures are taught and patient management strategies are discussed so you can put them into practice immediately after the seminar.
It is strongly recommended that practitioners new to SOT complete modules 1 – 3 before attending others.
Introduction to Categories 2 and 3
Continuing and developing the introductory information from module 1; module 2 expands the category system to include Category 2 & 3. Basic cranial procedures as well as patient management strategies are also discussed.
Extremities
A systematic approach to adjusting extremities, using SOT indicators and rationale for the adjustment. This module teaches practical adjusting skills that can be implemented by practitioners immediately following the training.
Proficiency Certified
The SOT certified exam covers the category and extremity procedures taught in modules 1-3.
After receiving your Proficiency certificate, you may be invited to become a table instructor for modules 1-3.
Introduction to Cranial
This module will form the basis of an understanding of cranial adjusting for the SOT practitioner. It will include; cranial landmarks, cranial nerves, facial diagnosis, cranial anatomy and physiology, cranial range of motion technique and a review of Antidote and Basic I, II and III.
Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT) 1
CMRT covers the way SOT approaches work with viscero-somatic and somato-visceral reflexes. This technique has been shown to have exceptional results in alleviating long-standing refractory symptoms. Module 5 acts as an introduction to the principles of CMRT, including occipital fibre analysis and key indicators for organ work. It also covers some of the more common organ techniques.
Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT) 2
Module 6 revises and expands the techniques and principles covered in module 5. It covers the principles of diagnosis and the key indicators and covers more advanced techniques not covered in module 5.
Advanced Certified
This exam covers modules 1-3 and CMRT (Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique) procedures presented in modules 4 and 5, as well as some Cranial Specific and Non-Specific techniques.
After receiving your Advanced certificate, you may be invited to become a table instructor for modules 1-5.
Anatomy of SOT
Dr Marc Pick teaches anatomy and physiology of cranial and dural function. He describes the neurological and pathological basis for SOT, using computer graphics and dissection models. In addition he presents an exciting introduction to cranial ranges of motion.
This module runs every 2yrs, alternate years to module 10 Paediatrics
TMJ Technique
Examination, diagnosis and treatment of TMD. Anatomy and physiology of the stomatognathic system and how the adjustment relates to the SOT Categories. How to communicate with dentists is also discussed.
Knowledge of foundation seminars 1-2 is advisable.
Cranial Specific and Non-Specific Technique
This module covers the specialised techniques in SOT, which are extremely useful on a day to day basis. Includes techniques that can be applied for specific health conditions.
Paediatrics
This module covers the SOT approach to the management of pregnancy and babies as well as children. It includes a protocol for thorough paediatric assessment and considerations for many commonly occurring paediatric conditions.
Sutural Technique & Cranial ROM
This cranial module is the complete DeJarnette seven step sutural release and follows the protocol for facilitating a Category II adjustment when there is sutural stress involved.
Intraoral Technique
This cranial module covers facial analysis to diagnose cranial lesions and specific adjustments for occipital, frontal and temporal bone lesions and how they relate to the categories.
Craniopath
This exam covers all aspects of cranial work presented in modules 6-12.
After receiving your Craniopath certificate, you may be invited to become a primary SOTe educator.
Hold Craniopath status for over 1 year.
Publish and present one original SOT research paper.
Once you have published an SOT paper, you will be invited to present SOT internationally.
Publish and present two original SOT research papers.
Submit one paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
